Information about the Dome Mount

The 3/8" Dome mount can be used in many different places where a "through-hole" mount is required.

This could be:

  • A hole in the roof of your vehicle
  • A hole in the wing
  • Any flat surface with space for the mounts' "footprint" of 40mm

It's a strong mount, ideal for most aerials, but especially our springer and Valor 300 rubber aerials.

The cable connects on with a right angled plug, if you are choosing the dome mount as part of a package, we include this cable with the correct plugs fitted.

Information about the Gutter Mount

The Gutter Mount included in our package deals is a basic yet good quality mount in black, complete with 4m of cable and plug fitted.

It is designed to fix to conventional gutters around the side of the vehicle - two screw pins tighten down into the trough of the gutter, these need to make a metal-to-metal connection with the vehicle, so you may need to scrape a small area of paint and sealant away before you get a good connection. The points these pins make contact are only a couple of square millimetres so you don't have to go mad with a file!

The cable connects on the guttermount with a low-profile connector with moulded rubber weathershield. The norm is to mount the guttermount on the right hand side of the vehicle, bring the cable in through the passenger door jam. (You may need to slit the door rubber slightly just to make a space for the cable to sit in. This relieves some of the pressure on the cable when the door is closed, and also helps to keep the cable in place so it doesn't "flop out" when the door is opened.)

Information about the Magnetic Mount

The Magnetic Mount included in our package is a high quality and very strong 7 inch diameter magmount with a rubber boot to prevent scratches and a moulded stud where the aerial screws in and the cable comes out (better resistance to water than the cheap type with washers etc).

Unlike most mounts, the magmount does not need to make a metal-to-metal connection, as long as the piece of metal you want to put it on is at least a couple of feet wide and long, then it should work fine. This means that it can be fixed onto bonnets as well as roofs.

Obviously, magnets won't stick to alluminium but there is a solution for Defender and series Land Rovers - if you have access to the underside of your roof (i.e. without headlining) you can have another magnet underneath the roof, below the magnet on top of the roof, and these will "clamp" the roof (their magnetic attraction will pull them towards each other - with your roof in the middle) and hold on fine.

This is a method I have used a few times putting in temporary setups in mates' work 90's, for some CB-enabled offroading (much more fun than without CB's!).

The magmount is an obvious choice if you have a steel roofed vehicle (Discovery, Suzuki, Trooper etc) and want to have a temporary "fit it when you need it" CB system. Just plonk it on the roof, bring the cable in through a window or door jam (you may need to slit the door rubber slightly just to make a space for the cable to sit in, this relieves some of the pressure on the cable when the door is closed, and also helps to keep the cable in place so it doesn't "flop out" when the door is opened) plug the lead into the CB, and connect the CB radio to some power (maybe opt to have a cigar plug put onto the power lead of the CB set you're buying - it's only £2 extra) and away you go!

Information about the Two Way Roof Rack / Bar mount

This mount is actually called a " mirror" mount, although it's more commonly used on roof racks and roof bars in 4x4 circles.

They can fit onto either horizontal or vertical bars...

We do two types of this mount, one suitable for round bars, upto 30mm diameter and horizontal only, another for round or square section upto 25mm which can be horizontal or vertical.

Our mounts are heavy duty 4-bolt items which will hold on tight, and not bend or break, unlike those available at some other CB outlets.

In our package deals, this mount comes supplied with a 5m lead, long enough to reach the roofrack at the back of a SWB 4x4 - if you want to fit this on the back of a 110 (for example) you will need our LWB extension lead - see the Related Products links on the package's description.

Information about the PSM-1 Mount

The PSM-1 mount is a very popular choice for fitting on the back of a Land Rover - just below the roof line, on the back.

It's strong and well made as well as being attractive and neat, and keeps all the cable and connections on the inside, so there's no chance of them getting caught in branches etc, like gutter and mag mounts.

The mount holds on with two bolts, this is also where the cable connects on, with ring terminals - we fit these on the cable supplied in the package.

In our package deals, this mount comes supplied with a 5m lead, long enough to reach the back of a SWB 4x4 - if you want to fit this on the back of a 110 (for example) you will need our LWB extension lead - see the Related Products links on the package's description.

Information about the Bullbar / Roll Cage Mount

This mount is basically a bar with 2.5 inch u-bolt, and a heavy duty aerial stud fitted, complete with 4m of cable and plug.

It is generally suitable for both Bullbars and Roll Cage fitting. You just need to expose a small area of bare metal where the u bolt makes contact with the bar - you don't have to go too mad with a file in order to get an earth connection.

Information about the Flat Bar Rack Mount

A versatile mount, consisting of a flat bar with aerial stud on one end, and two-bolt clamp on the other.

Can be mounted in quite a few places due to its small size.

We also sell an optional Weather protector for this mount which quite a useful item to have.

Information about the Widget Mount

This is a very versatile mount, capable of being used on winch bumpers, light guards, roofracks of all types and many other places.

It can swivel in two directions allowing fitment where no other mounting will go!

We are going to be adding photos and more information about this mount very soon.
