2 ... Select the UK code by going up or down through the available codes with the channel knob

3 ... Put the"F/OFF" switch to "OFF"

4 ... Quickly switch the CB off then on again to confirm and store the selected band code

If you go abroad, this is the procedure you should use to choose the apprpriate frequency band for where you are travelling.

One one hand, you get to see much finer graduations of signal (good for assisting people in testing, as the needle signal meters show very slight differences in signal, whereas the LCD segment displays cannot show this so well). This can be down to "a needles' width".

On the other hand, the swinging needle displays like the Walkers' are not so easy to see at a distance, and cannot be read so easily at a glance as the LCD type.
