The Albrecht AE6491 is an excellent quality CB with large display that can be switched between green and red to best suit your interior. It includes a standard mounting bracket along with a DIN mounting kit so is ideal for mounting in a car stereo slot and has a host of useful features. MAIN FEATURES : - Legal in UK and most of Europe
- Large wide angle LCD display showing received signal strength, channel number as well as frequency and transmit power when transmitting. Also shows indicators for all functions. Can be switched between green and red and can also be dimmed
- Manual or automatic squelch control for less hiss between transmissions. The automatic squelch facility is noise level controlled rather than signal level controlled meaning it reacts when the noise of the signal is such that the signal becomes understandable - this is much better than most auto squelch systems that just have a preset signal level. The auto squelch can be switched on and off by a button on the front facia and with a button on the top of the mic - a great idea.
- Channel scan function continuously scans the channels, stopping on ones where a signal is present... it will then stay on this channel until transmissions have stopped for 10 seconds and it will then restart scanning
- Five easy-to-program memory channels so you can get one-button access to your most commonly used channels. These memory channels can also be scanned separately (so the unit only scans these 5 channels instead of all the channels)
- Buttons for immediate access to the calling channel (19) and the emergency channel (09)
- Comes complete with DIN mounting kit, including sleeve and 2 removal keys
- Key press tone (beeps when you press any of the function buttons) can be switched on or off
- Lock button so you can lock all of the buttons on the radio - you can lock the unit on a particular channel so you cannot accidentally change channel or activate a facility
- Switchable (on/off) roger beep - sends a beep tone at the end of every transmission, particularly useful if signals get weaker or there is a lot of noise - the receiving station can hear the beep easier through the noise and will know that you have stopped transmitting
- Loud and clear front facing speaker - also has connector on the rear for an external speaker if needed (which disables front speaker)
- Rotary channel change control on the control panel and up / down channel change buttons on the microphone
- EEPROM flash memory preserves all settings when the radio is removed from power, even for a long time!

ONE PLUG NOT FITTED If you plan to install the CB permanently you may have to get the aerial cable through a small hole/gap - this can be difficult with the plug fitted, so we can supply the aerial cable with the plug included but not fitted, so you can solder it on when you have routed your cable
ALTERNATIVE AERIALS The Springer is great for offroad but if you spend most of the time onroad, or just want an alternative to the Springer - we can offer some different aerials
