Our Opinion :
This package is ideal for those who want a more "old school" looking CB but while still having good quality modern electronics inside. With a LED channel readout (viewable from further away and from more angles than the LCD displays so often found on modern CB's), "swing needle" signal display, along with PA facility and switchable roger beep, this set is a strong performer without being laden with features. Can be modified to produce 12w output power (it's designed to do this) although this is not legal in the UK, as the max power allowed is 4 watts.

    MAIN FEATURES :
  • Legal to use in the UK and Europe
  • Tough rotary controls for volume, squelch, RF Gain, Mic Gain and channel change
  • Toggle switches for band selection and channel 9/19 function
  • Green LED channel display
  • LED indicators for Transmit, Roger beep on, Automatic Noise Limiter on and Echo on (requires optional echo board which is not supplied with the radio - available seperately)
  • Public Address (PA) facility
  • Backlit "swing needle" signal meter allows much greater accuracy and resolution than the LCD segment type meters normally found on modern CB's so allows the user to see very subtle changes in signal strength
  • Quality microphone with up and down channel change and LOCK buttons
  • Switchable (on/off) roger beep sounds a Beep tone at the end of your transmissions

ONE PLUG NOT FITTED If you plan to install the CB permanently you may have to get the aerial cable through a small hole/gap - this can be difficult with the plug fitted, so we can supply the aerial cable with the plug included but not fitted, so you can solder it on when you have routed your cable
ALTERNATIVE AERIALS The Springer is great for offroad but if you spend most of the time onroad, or just want an alternative to the Springer - we can offer some different aerials
