Our Opinion :
This package is ideal for those who want a lot of CB for their money - the TCB-881 has many useful facilities - including PA Public Address and many more. Modern design with blue backlighting of display and controls.
This CB can operate on 12v or 24v so is ideal for trucks, 24v Land Rovers and other 24v vehicles.

MAIN FEATURES :

12v / 24v auto sensing
NEW Dynamic Squelch System, for less hiss and background noise between transmissions
Distinctive blue backlighting to LCD display shows channel number, band, received signal and transmitted power and function indicators
Buttons and surrounds to rotary controls also have blue lighting
Public Address (PA) facility - great for recovery situations or summoning help
Quality microphone with up/down channel change and Lock buttons
Heavy duty "toggle" switches for CB/PA and other functions (in our opinion these have proved to be more reliable over time)
4 Instant access memory channels that you can program with your most frequently used channels
Scan facility sweeps the current band looking for busy channels
EMG button for instant access to the emergency channel (09)
Last Channel Recall (LCR) facility takes you back to the last channel you were active on
Automatic Noise Limiter for reduced ignition and static interference
Rotary controls for Mic Gain and RF Gain (these should be turned up fully clockwise in normal operation)
AM/FM switch works as UK/EU band change switch when in UK mode (a quick push activates the LCR facility)
Quick up and down function moves you 10 channels at a time
Extension speaker output socket on the back
Lock button on facia prevents accidental channel changes and function activation
Dual Watch facility allows monitoring of 2 channels at once
DX/Local attentuation switch - switch to local if you experience interference from nearby CB users on other channels, i.e. at a very busy offroad site etc (should be switched to DX in normal operation)

ONE PLUG NOT FITTED If you plan to install the CB permanently you may have to get the aerial cable through a small hole/gap - this can be difficult with the plug fitted, so we can supply the aerial cable with the plug included but not fitted, so you can solder it on when you have routed your cable
ALTERNATIVE AERIALS The Springer is great for offroad but if you spend most of the time onroad, or just want an alternative to the Springer - we can offer some different aerials
