Traditional "swing needle" signal meter and large backlit (Orange) LCD display which you can switch to show either channel number or frequency readout. Nicely built and works well, the earlier (non multi standard) version of this was voted "CB Best Buy" in LRO (Land Rover Owner magazine) test in April 2002 Our Opinion :
The Midland 48 Excel Multi is an excellent set - top grade components used, well designed, good facilities which are well implemented. The one small let-down (in our opinion) is the size of the microphone - it's quite small and "dainty" - so we recommend the addition of the much heavier-duty Midland Multi mic that is supplied with the 78 & 48 Plus Multi's or the Midland non-buttoned mic - see related products below...
