Why not put another mic socket in the back of the vehicle for your passengers? Simply plug and unplug at the rig end, to avoid the mic cable being stretched to the back (and constantly tapping you on the shoulder if your chatting passengers are like mine!) and let your rear passengers sit back and chat to drivers/passengers in other vehicles.
