 Base Station aerials and fixings - having a base station setup is very handy for many people... A temporary station set up at an offroad site, allowing the marshalls much better range back-to-base... A base setup for local businesses - with the extra size of the large base aerials, vehicle to base range can be up to 10 miles, ideal for those out working in their neighbourhood or surrounds... Many farms have (or should have!) a base setup in the office, farmhouse or workshop, again allowing better range when talking to the vehicles. The extra performance of a base aerial will help to minimise the effects of terrain, etc and would be able to pass messages from one vehicle to another when they might be out of range of each other.)
