We're giving away £100 worth of discount vouchers to the people who send us the best photos this month (Oct 09)...
We're giving away NINE Vouchers!
- 3 x £20 Vouchers
- 2 x £10 Vouchers
- 4 x £5 Vouchers
We're doing this because we want as many photos as possible of our products in "real life" so we can put them on this site to show visitors what the products look like when actually installed.
Studio photos are good but they don't really give an indication of size or where/how an item can be installed.... seeing a mount fitted on a vehicle, or a CB or accessory on a dash or around the cabin gives a much better understanding of the size of an item and where it can be fitted.
If you have access to a digital camera, please consider sending us some photos!
About the prize :
- Each voucher is valid for 12 months from issue so you don't have to spend it immediately - use it now or in the future for a replacement aerial or maybe put it towards an upgraded CB next year?
- The vouchers can be used for purchases online or for telephone orders
- Normally, one voucher is issued every month (see below for previous winners) but for photos received before 31st October there are 9 prizes, these will be awarded to 9 different contributors
- The entry deadline is 31st October 2009
- Not transferable - any voucher must only be used by the person it's awarded to
- The £5 Vouchers can be used as payment/part payment for any order over £6
The £10 Vouchers can be used as payment/part payment for any order over £12
The £20 Vouchers can be used as payment/part payment for any order over £23
How to win :
- Send as many photos as you can - photos of any CB gear you have, photos of it from different angles, some from close up, some from further away
- Take the photos in as large a format as possible (highest resolution/largest filesize)
- If you're buying a complete package from us, take photos of all the items you're fitting, and of your installation both during and after you're finished - these in particular we can use in a planned "customers installs" section and are especially welcome
- There are certain products that we particularly need photos of... if you've had an email from us asking for photos of certain products and you send us some photos of these products, then you will stand a better chance of getting a voucher
- Take photos of everything, even down to how you've routed the aerial cable, or connected a CB to power
How to send us photos :
There's two ways of sending us photos...
- Email them to us at 4x4cb.com@gmail.com Limit of 25mb attachments per email - you can send as many photos or emails as you like.
- Every product has a "send us a photo" link at the top of the description, this takes you to an upload page where you can upload a photo directly to our site.
If you have more than one photo to send, you can use the same page any number of times - just send them one at a time. If you have photos of different products, you don't have to click the link on each individual items page - that would be a pain!
General notes :
By sending us photos, you agree to let us (Communication Eleven, 4x4cb.com) edit, adjust and use any photographs you send on our website and printed literature.
Your installation doesn't have to be perfect, or even neat, just as long as it's there and functional... all photos will give the viewer an idea of how and where an item can be installed, we're not judging the quality of your installation.
For your protection, any photos where number plates are shown will be edited so they cannot be read.
It doesn't matter if you didn't buy your equipment from us... as long as it's an item we do sell, thats enough to count you in with a chance of winning.
If possible, please do some close-up shots and some from further away... Take them of the mount on your vehicle as seen from outside, but also behind the mount (if you can get to it), showing the cable connection and earthing... Take them from different angles, especially if it helps to illustrate an objects' size.
When photographing aerials, try to take some to show the full length of the aerial, and some closer up to show the base of the aerial and the mount.
We're hoping that requesting photos like this will get us some good ones to use on the site for the benefit of our visitors and customers - if you're undecided whether you should bother or not please do!
All photos will be gratefully received and are very much appreciated!

- 3/ the usability of the photos (how well they showed the products in question)
- 4/ how much i need photos of the particular products
each of the 4 could be worth a maximum of 10 points, giving a maximum possible score of 40.
