Payments & Security We use Paypal to process our online card transactions. They are one of the leading internet transaction companies in the world, trusted and respected by millions of internet shoppers.
After you have completed the basic ordering stages on our site you will be transferred to Paypal's secure environment where you can make a card or paypal balance payment. We NEVER see or receive your card details (even when we log into our secure admin at Paypal).
We are notified as to the transaction details and status but not the card number or other information. That is why if you want to add to an order already made we have to ask for your card details again.
Please note that we reserve the right to refuse any order that we feel unable to fulfil for any reason. This may be due to discrepancies with address details or for other reasons. This may occur after the order and payment has been accepted on the website. In these circumstances notification is made to the customer and a full refund made.
The Paypal system has many anti-fraud measures built in one of which is address verification the address you give them is checked against the address held by the card issuer, and your order may be rejected if they do not match.
If you are a legitimate purchaser and you are having problems with this, it's worth remembering that the addresses must be exactly the same, including abbreviations and punctuation - check your statements to check that all the details are correct.
Using The "Shopping Basket" Making a purchase online could not be easier!
When on the information page of a product you want to purchase, click on "Add To My Basket" to put the item into your shopping basket. To continue shopping for other items click on "Continue Shopping".
To see all the items you have selected click on "My Basket" at the very top of the page, here you can adjust quantities and remove items from the basket.
When you have all the items you wish to purchase in your basket, enter your email address and click "Pay Now". Then you can enter your name, email address and delivery address. This must match the address on record with the card issuer that you intend to make payment with.
It is usually possible to deliver to another address, which you can give in the Special Instructions box but we will make online and offline verification enquiries and reserve the right to refuse delivery to any address other than that known to the card issuer.
Click the "Pay Now" button to proceed to Paypal's secure payment area where you can make payment in a totally secure environment.
Prices All the prices shown of this site are in £ Stirling, overseas buyers (please read the section below) paying by paypal will see what this converts to in their local currency before paying - this is shown within the secure paypal environment after clicking the "Pay" button on this site
VAT As of late 2018, we are no longer VAT registered and we regret we are not able to provide business customers with a VAT receipt.
Orders from outside the UK We can ship to anywhere in the world but our delivery zone system only gives options for UK and Ireland. This is mainly due to the differences in cost of shipping overseas. If you are outside the UK and wish to make a purchase, please contact us with a list of the items you wish to order along with your delivery address and we will get back to you with a firm shipping quote.
Despatch Confirmed paid orders received before 2pm are normally despatched that day. Some orders can be fulfilled if placed later, but the later in the day we receive your order, the less likely it is to be despatched that day.
For CB Radios, CB Radio Packages, homebase antennas and other large, heavy or expensive items we ship by Fedex on a next working day service.
For smaller items (generally anything under 1.5kg in weight), we ship by Royal Mail First Class Post.
We normally hold every item featured on this site in stock ready for immediate despatch. We will try to ensure that any item that is temporarily out of stock has this fact in their item description - to avoid such items being ordered, but in the event of this happening we will notify you by email and/or telephone.
You will be offered the following 3 options:
1) An alternative item, subject to availability
2) To wait for the item to come back into stock, and we will try to give as accurate estimate of re-stocking as possible
3) A full refund
You are free to choose which of these you prefer.
Damaged or missing items Please advise us immediately by phone of any products listed as despatched but missing, or products received in a damaged condition. We may ask you to confirm in writing for insurance claims purposes. All packing materials should be retained, as we or representatives of the delivery service concerned may need to examine them. Products should not be returned to us until a Returns Note number has been issued which we can give to you by phone or e-mail.
Faulty Items If you find an item is faulty telephone or email us immediately. Often products reported as faulty result from a misunderstanding of the instructions, batteries not fully charged, or controls and functions incorrectly set. Such cases can be speedily resolved by a phone call to us. If you are sure the product is faulty, or you feel it has been mis-described, please contact us immediately. We will issue you with a Returns Authorisation number that should be written clearly on the package if you return the item to us.
If you find an item to be faulty within 7 days of you receiving it, we will normally issue a replacement as soon as the faulty unit is received back from you.
After this period we will repair or replace any faulty goods at our discretion. If the fault is not found to be under warranty then the customer must pay all handling/postage charges and any other charges for repairs that may be needed.
If a fault develops with a Midland CB Radio Midland support the customer warrantee on their sets themselves. To assist in this you should complete the customer registration card within the packaging of the CB and return to the freepost address provided.
This system has several benefits for the customer and for the Midland brand name. Any Midland CB Radios that develop a fault within the 12 month guarantee period can be returned direct to Alan UK, the official UK importer. They will be worked on by factory trained technicians with the correct procedures, equipment, parts and knowledge to do the job correctly.
This is extended by "at cost" repairs to units out of their warrantee period as long as they were originally purchased from a Midland approved dealer. This means that in years to come all the (officially sourced - like ours) Midland CB's around should still be working well, and if any repairs have been needed, quality control has been maintained.
Before returning anything to Alan UK, the customer MUST contact us to obtain a returns number which must be put on the outside of the parcel and on any accompanying paperwork (please include a letter outlining the nature of the fault and if possible brief information about the circumstances in which the fault occured). We will act as your contact point for your return - we normally "diary" a chase-up contact with Alan UK 7 days after the returns number has been issued.
All returns should be sent by recorded post, or for more expensive radios, special delivery is reccomended. Please ensure adequate packaging as any subsequent damage in transit will not be covered by the warrantee.

Cancellation Under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any of our items your order at anytime after placing the order and up to 7 days after receiving the goods. (The 7 working day cancellation period starts the "day after" the day that the goods are received.) This applies to all of our products. However, we regret that we cannot accept cancellations of contracts for the purchase of equipment which has had warranty seals broken or removed, been modified in any way, suffered damage through mis-use or incorrect connection, or has been marked or damaged in use.
Goods must be returned in original condition as supplied by us and complete with all product packaging, fittings, manuals etc. We will refund the full amount paid for the goods within 30 days of cancellation.
To cancel this contract, please telephone us within 7 days of delivery of goods, giving the reason for the return as "Contract Cancellation". Quote your order number and date of purchase as well as items ordered. Please package the relevant item securely and send it to us with a copy of your invoice (receipt) so that we receive it within 7 working days of the date that the item was delivered to you.

About returning items For your protection, if returning anything to us, we recommend that you use a signed-for delivery service (we can advise you on this). Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error. We may be able to arrange for collection of heavy or large items from you at your cost.
You are also responsible for ensuring that any parcel sent to us has adequate packaging and protection for its journey. Any parcels received damaged due to (in our opinion or in the opinion of a representative of the delivery service concerned) insufficient packaging will be repaired at the senders cost. If you need advice on how to pack an item or what service to use, please contact us.
For all returns an authorisation number will be required, which you can obtain by telephoning or emailing us. This should be shown on the outside of the parcel, and you should quote this in any correspondence or enquiries.
In the event of the loss of any parcel on it's way to us, you as the sender of the parcel will be responsible for initiating and administering any claim - we will assist you in this wherever possible. You should ALWAYS keep your certificate of posting, recorded or special delivery paperwork etc, as these will be needed in the event of a claim. We cannot issue a refund or replacement for an item we have not received yet
Warranty All goods are covered by a 12 months warranty unless specifically stated otherwise.
Warranty provided is entirely separate from your statutory rights.
Warranty Void if:
1. The label or serial number is defaced or removed from the unit.
2. The product shows signs of damage in any way.
3. The product has been misused, damaged, modified or altered since the date of purchase.
4. There is evidence of tampering with the product.
5. There is evidence that the product has not been used in a proper manner during installation or use.
6. The product shows signs of excessive wear and tear.
